2025 Draft Chatter Thread

I think going after Hall would be a mistake. We need a young stud with his entire career ahead of him, and this is the perfect draft class for that.

Hall is a good player but he's not a stud, he's going to be 24 at the start of the season, and most importantly he's going into the last year of his contract.

If we're worried about filling four holes, we should be trading down and picking up another premium pick. Not skipping out on RB.

That would be stupid. So that a year from now we have no RBs on our roster yet again and are in the same position to have to draft a RB in what will likely be a less talented class? Nothing against Hall, I really like him. But now is not the time to do it. If we had a badass roster and needed a final piece to push for a Superbowl this year, I may agree with that move. But we already signed 2 RBs on one year deals. Do you really want to trade assets for a third guy? We need someone who can help stabilize the position for the next 4 years.

Im fully prepared to wonder what the hell is going on when the Hillbillies ignore RB all the way until the 6th for a token ST player.

Luckily I won't have to be pissed about that until the end of tomorrow night.

Tonight makes me more nervous honestly.

Couldn't copy and paste, but Pauline says we'd take Golden over Tet for leadership qualities (as we've heard before), but the interesting part is he says the other consideration for us is a DL at 12.

I'm not opposed to Golden at all. And I have heard he has a badass work ethic. I think Dak would absolutely love him.

Yeah DL would not surprise me. Fowler is best as a third end and our other end is Simple Sam. We have dirt at DT. The OL stuff is hopefully playing in on the general sense that teams will panic on the OL and trade up.

You would think they would look for someone who has experience with, I don’t know, playing in the NFL for leadership….
You would also like to think that Smith who will soon be well paid will be that leader. Again, hoping this is a clumsy attempt to get somebody to trade up for an OL.

Yes, but you said 6th year senior and he’s a 5th year. Also, sooooo the Big 12 isn’t good competition now? Sure, it isn’t the SEC or Big 10 but those conferences are very top heavy. He shouldn’t be dinged cause he didn’t have the chance to run again Vandy and Miss St.
Is he your cousin? Your kid? Just wondering you seem to be pretty invested.
Brugler had him listed as a 6 year senior so I agreed with it. If you want to think of him as a 5th year go right ahead. Keep cherry picking my statements. You asked why I didnt want him and i told you.

I dont want someone who has not faced the best competition, has some ball control concerns, is a liability in pass protection, doesn’t run through tackles, and runs fast sometimes. Those are scouts saying those things. I hope the kid gets drafted and has a great career but if we pass up the opportunity to take Hampton, Henderson, Judkins, Johnson, and maybe Sampson then take him I would be less than thrilled.

Hopefully this is just Clarence being a clown.

Simple Sam is like our fourth DE.
