But in this case, I don't think the Joneses were outfoxed as much as that's just how much they wanted Dak. They either loved Dak that much or they were too scared at the prospect of letting him go. So even if you had another GM, in a deal like this with a franchise QB, I bet the owner would decide anyway.

Seems to me the mistake is loving Dak so much that you allow yourself to be put over a barrel like this.
