What is your thought on Tai Felton? Starting to wonder if he isn't a day three pet cat for me. Good size, great speed and fairly productive this last year.
 
Drives me crazy how modern players don't know, and don't care to know, anything about the history of the game. I wasn't alive when Babe Ruth played, yet I know a lot about him. How is that possible??

He'd be a great day 3 pick, really good deep speed and tracking ability, but kind of light in the ass and can get pushed around in tighter areas.

He might develop into a decent 2, but at the very least he should be a decent 3 who brings some vertical juice to the offense.

I wouldn't be surprised if he snuck into the 3rd though.
 
I bet Sam Williams could mentor him out of it though.

Yeah super talented guy but I think he is in for a Randy Gregory type draft day. If he had great charecter I'd consider him at 12. That talented. But there have been whispers about massive charecter concerns which is why you don't hear his name thrown around up that high anymore.

I just don't think you can put that guy on this roster. I wouldn't take him off my board but even with all that talent I'm not doing a roll the dice on him in the second round even.

Yeah you cannot deal with a high pick who is a serious head case.

Yeah I was just looking at some of the later WRs in this draft. Guys who have height and speed and he kind of stood out as a guy with height and speed but also high end production. So I watched a bunch of him, I kind of like him. I agree about the number 2 or 3 WR. I think he is an outside WR for sure. I didn't always like the way he let the ball get into his body when he catches it. But I think he may be underrated in this WR class. And honestly, he is probably more talented than the WRs on this roster not named Lamb. Just my opinion.

It's unfortunate that we don't have a fourth round pick because I think I'd take him there. Third is probably a little rich for my blood. At that point I'm probably hoping for Royals, Noel or Savion Williams. But I don't think he makes it to the fifth. Obviously if he did I'd be happy to take him there. I'm not going to say I'm super high on him but he sort of feels like a faster and more athletic Terrance Williams. But we will see how this class goes at WR. There are the top three. And then a number of guys I'm not really in love with. Bech and Harris I don't love as second round picks. I really don't like Bond compared to where he will go. Ayemenor I'm not super high on in the second.

Tez intrigues me but I don't know if I can justify a guy that small in the third round. He basically has to be a stud at WR because he will have no other role on this team. But size be damned if the guy can be an immediate number 2 WR. If the guy weighed 20 more pounds it wouldn't be a big deal. But 154 pounds isn't just thin. It's kind of scary thin. But damn he was dominant at times in college.

Reminds me of the David Irving and Randy Gregory days. A dude who comes out and destroys for a game or two. But never sticks because they are a total headcase. Frankly Dez was kind of the same way, except we found ways to deal with his craziness. But he exhausted the team too. And I loved Dez but he was a dude who would forget his shoes, show up late, and was a total spaz. But he at least had the passion and love for the game to still break through it.
 
Based on these statements I don't think we are going to force RB in the first or second round. Not saying we wouldn't take Jeanty but doesn't sound like they are planning on it. He also mentioned that free agency was highly focused on the defense. Which makes me feel like this could be leaning offense.-

“I think what’s been proven over the course of the last eight to 10 years is the depth and the ability to find backs late make it to where it’s not a priority,” Schottenheimer said. “But we’re going to look at best player available. And if the best player is a running back, and we feel like that’s a great fit, we should do it. But if it’s not, that’s where I feel really good going into this draft, because we’ve made the moves to create the fact … that we trust the process, the scouts have done a hell of a job setting the board.
 


This is what I've been saying since before the Combine, he might be the best route runner in the draft, throw the 4.29 speed on top and his ability to make downfield contested catches and there are very few holes in his game.

The crispness with which he runs comebacks is something you don't often see out of college WR's and it's indicative of his route running ability as a whole.

I still lean McMillan but it's very, very close.

This is why I wouldn't be upset if we take him at 12 at all. Separation and great hands.
 
I watched Steve Smith's show on the WRs and he had Golden #1 also.

Plus some tweet I saw mentioned how inaccurate Ewers was and how Golden had to make a lot of big adjustments and tough catches that would have been easier with a better QB, given the amount of separation he gets. @Texas Ace

FWIW, he loved the bigger Iowa State guy also. Said he had a little mini-Mike Evans to him, and he hasn't even been playing that long so he may have more upside than some others. Agree with him there also.
