I would not pay that.
Hell no. They'll end up regretting that one. I think he's nothing like what he was but he still brings the diva. Not what I'd want for a second year QB.

Even if he flames out it doesn't really matter. Teams with no money invested in a QB have money to burn.

Yep, money to burn and they have to pay a premium for a guy like Diggs who’d rather be going to an immediate contender.

Yeah money talks and that's a lot of money for a guy rehabbing an ACL coming off a down year at 31 years old. I think teams probably look at this draft and don't see the depth of WRs who can be immediate contributors at WR. It's just not the same WR class we have seen in recent years.

Makes you wonder what Cooper, Lockett and Allen will get. My guess is eventually one of those guys is going to be without a suitor and the price will come way down. Or maybe those guys don't want to do OTAs and all of that so they will wait until June or whatever to sign.

"Perfect! You don't want to practice and we don't want you to get hurt. Establishing rapport with our QB? That's irrelevant."

Yep, plus there is a little cutoff where it doesn't hurt you when receiving comp picks. I wouldn't be surprised if we wait until after the draft to do anything else. And frankly I have no idea if or what we will be in line for in terms of comp picks this year. We actually signed guys, we didn't lose anyone I would consider a big name. Sure, I think we lost more in terms of cap dollars than we spent but I don't know how it shakes out.

It's kind of sad too. Carl Lawson for example got better as the season went along. Had we not waited until right before the season, maybe he would have been ready to contribute from day 1 at that level. Signing guys in August who have been sitting on the couch is just kind of too late for most players. They need to get in, learn the system, get their bodies ready, get in that groove. But these dummies have no concept of that.
