Williams won't be bad with the way Schott and our OC and OL coach want to scheme and the ball. He ain't going to break many long runs, but solid in between the tackles.

Need a HR threat in the draft now. Who you want?

Jeanty is still an option, but lesser now.

If I am picking a compliment, I would go with Henderson or perhaps Harvey/Neal later on.

Javonte Williams and a 3rd round scatback like Harvey wouldn't exactly be an inspiring duo. At least someone like Neal might be able to handle 20 carries a game if needed.

:lol

It's a decent depth signing but it's hilarious to me that I'm still nailing exactly how cheap these fucks are.

You didn't nail shit. You said they wouldn't sign anybody until Wednesday night or Thursday, but you got the cheap part right so far.

I was referring more to the "home run" threat. Harvey had more rushes of 10+ yards by a pretty wide margin of the guys going 2nd on.

It's a one year deal. They'll be 2 guys we either draft or pick up as an UDFA that will make the team and they'll be pretty good.

Like booze said he just slides in to Dowdle's spot on roster. Similar styles.

Yea the timing shocked me but Williams is one of the guys I had in the cheap ass section, just like a few years ago when they signed like 3 guys off the cheap ass section.

I know, I was just messing with you.

You did have him in the group above the really cheap guys though.

I mean we didn't sign the guy to be a feature back. But you need 3 RBs for the depth chart and we right now basically have one depth guy because of the signing.

Nothing to get excited about but nothing to get upset about either. I wasn't expecting anything this early. He is a capable RB who is good on third downs.

Now give me a 26 year old corner version of this signing and maybe I'd feel OK in life.

He has an ass load of receptions out of the backfield so that part of it makes sense.

This is a reliable third down back so that if you draft a rookie who sucks at pass blocking or can't catch the ball you're covered.

This shouldn't impact us drafting a RB. But hopefully it keeps us from reaching for Hampton at 12 if Jeanty is gone. Like prevent the pure desperation mode.
