McCarthy Gone - Now the search is on - Schottenheimer Hired

It'll be cool seeing some different things, like more of an athletic guy like Beebe pulling from center. Or him and Tyler with a head of steam going around the right end mashing people.

I dunno why I am bothering to think this deeply about this team, but the direction of the offense and the coaches involved, we actually might try to get value out of Trey Lance.

I doubt we resign him. And I doubt he'd want to resign. Even when Dak went down we barely gave him any shot at all.

I mean we do need a backup QB. Although I'm sure Cooper Rush will be willing to come back just to have a job.

That's what I'm thinking. If for no other reason than price. But it wouldn't shock me if we went even cheaper with a Will Grier type.

Those guys are all the same to me. I know Rush has won games but they all feel like you could swap one in or out for the other and it doesn't make a difference.

Personally I'd be happy to draft another day three QB in the fourth round... Oh wait

How many gummies in were you when you posted this?

Dare we say this staff could be classically decent?

I'm very encouraged about the staff and cautiously optimistic that Schottenheimer actually has some sort of idea of how to implement the pie in the sky stuff he talked about during his intro PC, based on the hires they made on the offensive side.

If I thought for a second that they'd do something of note in FA I might be somewhat optimistic about next season, but they're definitely going to tie one hand behind their backs as they do dick in FA yet again.

I mean things have been different since he got hired. My hope is the rest of the offseason will be different but I have doubts.

Zero chance.

Absolute best-case scenario is they pay up to retain most of our own, but I think that's probably a 50/50 proposition.

Different might simply mean signing three Olawale instead of one. But maybe the draft will be a little different too.
