2024 College Football Chatter

Yep. He was reluctant to get rid of Mr. 8-8. He is going to let the injuries excuse everything
A part of me also thinks he's listening to all the talking heads in the media point out how he and Stephen didn't really give McCarthy a fair shot at this season.

Maybe a bit of guilt sets in and he decides to give McCarthy a fair shot to save his job. :shrug

If it's a 2 or maybe 3 year extension that might make sense, but as usual it'd be pure lunacy from top to bottom.

Hopefully Mike says thanks but no thanks, I'm coaching the Saints now.

This is the route I'd take. I think he's done enough to make himself a wanted commodity again.

He's shown that he can put a competitive product on the field when provided a decent amount of talent to work with.

Either he doesn't give a shit about Shula's record or he's trying to avoid the embarrassment of being passed over two years in a row.

Yeah this kind of shit is the main reason I could not fully support him in Dallas. I mean, c’mon.

I almost feel like he isn't taking this seriously

He may not be..... His heart is with the NFL.

But I'm guessing getting a shit load of money and ensuring his son is guaranteed a HC gig was too much to pass up.

My guess is he does this for 2 years, max, then hands it over to his son.

WTF is a GM in college football? Aren't those called ADs?

That plan is also something that I would never agree to as part of his contract if I am an owner in the NFL.
