All of your made up percentages are meaningless.

It was fucking stupid.

Not only are they made up but I think too many teams get caught up in analytics that do give them these statistics. But stats based on historical data don't take into account all the factors in the moment. And that is where and why a coach just needs to coach. But in general I do think Dan Campbell makes stupid, over aggressive decisions.

It would have been perfect if when the QB stumbled, they fumbled the handoff and it was returned for a TD.

Exactly.

And analytics would have us believe that momentum isn't a real thing, but we all know that's bullshit.

Just ask those very same Lions how failing to convert an unnecessary 4th down attempt in the NFCC basically breathed life into the 49ers and sparked their comeback.

I didn't hate the final 4th down decision FWIW, it was questionable but I kinda get it. The real issue was the moronic decision to go for it on his own 30 when up 3 in the late third.

Combine that with the call at the end and it comes off as reckless and mindless, especially since they damn near completely fucked themselves at the end.

Yeah, these are humans and humans ride on emotion. Of course momentum is a real thing.

Amen. The twitter dorks who act like sports played by humans are the same as flipping a coin or a random number generator drive me crazy.

Is this as bad an early slate of games as we've had this year? Cleveland - Pittsburgh and Carolina - Philly? Yuck.
