And the hosts backed off more than I expected -- said what a privilege it is to do the show with him, etc.

I bet the higher ups at the radio station had more to do with this than the hosts. As much as we hate the shit Jerry does bring the ratings.
Listening to the show after the event last week one host said that he was done with Jerry after that and the other said that he wasn't going to back down. Now they are saying "what a pleasure". Yeah. They were reminded.

Marcus has gone to the dark side and sided with Jerry.

Yeah, we already discussed how Belichick mentioned the stats showed at Tennessee that Henry was much better out of an under-center offense than the shotgun.

Obviously, he adjusted.

Like I've been saying, it's a fucking miracle that we've been as good as we have over the last decade with this shitshow of an ownership team.
I was thinking about this. It's funny, when a team goes, say, 12-5, everyone assumes it's just a 12-5 team and anything less than that is a failure of coaching.

But what if it was actually a 10 or so win team and good coaching got it to 11 or 12? Nobody ever gives coaching credit for getting extra wins... unless it's an obvious HOF coach without a QB or something, like Belichick with Matt Cassel.

This year may be different, but I think for the most part this team has been very well coached under the McCarthy-Quinn combo.

Until the players started tuning them out and then Jerry decided to bring one back as a lame duck.

Right, I like Mike overall. but everyone has a shelf life, and this one is about up. That's the league, that's fine.

But I remember when Garrett finally left, I thought the team had to be heading downhill because the Dak supercheap contract window was closed and the formerly great OL was aging and falling apart. But they drafted great and coached well, and after the injury-riddled 2020 season had even better years. I still think that's pretty good.

We're never sellers, because that would be over-optimistic Jerry admitting that maybe we aren't going anywhere this year.

And he can't do that.

Wait a minute, is that old fool trying to tell us he saved more money by taking a fifth round pick instead of something higher? 😆

Sad to think there are those who buy bullshit like that.
