Detroit is also loaded at the skill positions and has maybe the best O-line in the league.

Not sure why we'd assume Johnson would have the same results in Dallas with Lamb and a bunch of JAGs.
What I keep telling folks about Goff. He’s all but unpressured, and when that happens any NFL quarterback can make every throw there is.

The moment Minnesota pressured him, he fumbled and another time threw a pick. He’s an ordinary QB surrounded by an extraordinarily level of talent. Same prolly goes for the OC

Tuned in.

Damn, Jerry kind of said it last week, but this time he straight up said he regretted firing Wade in-season for Garrett.

Wonder if he's really that mad at Jason for trashing his team, or maybe he finally sees what a snake oil salesman Garrett was.

Whoa, he was asked about Bland and Micah coming back and said he didn't think they could tell until gametime.

It's almost like he was trying to keep his mouth shut, because I'm 99.9% sure Bland is playing. He probably could have last week.

Jerry sucking up to the hosts now, says he loves the job they do and the show they do together.

I'm sure he regrets having to pay Wade to not work for half a season. It always comes back to money.

Off-air, though, I’m sure there was a salesman wink along with a never-ask-follow-ups-like-that-again
He's not there with them in person, but he probably texted them a

The sad thing to me is, Jerry hasn't shown any contrition whatsoever for threatening the jobs of these guys, and in fact later doubled down by referencing Dale Hansen and Brad Sham, reminding people that he's done it before.

But then he's going to go on this week and act like he didn't do anything wrong and that all is ok because he didn't actually get their jobs taken away.

So all is well?

No.

Because it never mattered to Jerry whether they lost their jobs, that isn't the point.

The actual point is the chilling effect. I bet they didn't challenge him at all this week.

The team was off so literally nothing changed this week. Why not challenge him again? Press him again on the terrible job he's done and the horrendous way he's run the team for 3 decades.

Instead I bet it was a nice easy interview.

And every other reporter saw what happened also. And they all want to keep their jobs too.

Think everybody else who saw this will think twice about asking him tough questions?

And that's especially true since he's not contrite or acting as if he wouldn't actually try to get someone fired for asking tough questions. He's kind of hinted the opposite.

And he's already a guy who enjoys one of the softest media coverages in the league given what he's produced the past 28 years.

One of the shows host said that he wasn't going to stop asking those questions. Maybe he didn't feel like pressing him this week as it was probably pretty awkward as it was.

I have my doubts but I will wait and see how it goes after this week's game.

Jerry is so full of shit and transparent. I bet he really thinks he's being clever. That greedy bastard is punishing McCarthy for shitting the bed in the playoffs. He'll let him flail around this season until he wants to fire him. The organization made zero moves to help the team, so they could scapegoat the people they want. Then they can bring in Bill or whoever else they fancy at that particular moment.

Yep, take a year off to be cheap and "clean up the cap" and have the scapegoat ready to go.

Listening to the show from the start now...

He really didn't offer any apologies, and didn't back off a bit. He even semi-threatened them again IMO. Said he doesn't expect to be asked "Get in your ass" questions on this show. Even compared it to "pillow talk" with the wife when she asks why you did something dumb. And he says sometimes the answer is just "I don't know, the devil made me do it." :doh

And the hosts backed off more than I expected -- said what a privilege it is to do the show with him, etc.
