So about this PS DT Jalen Dalton guy they signed.

Four NFL teams since 2019 (Bears, Saints, Falcons, Panthers).

Was injured 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 seasons.

Signed to UFL after failed physical with Panthers prior to 2023 offseason

He went to UNC so @Smitty should remember him. But since he has never screamed for his acquisition, he must suck as bad as he looks on paper.

I hate to fucking say it but I will.

I would have loved to see his posts on the day Garrett got fired.
He probably just happened to have started a weeklong family vacation that day.

Would he give us a percentage on whether we would regret it?

That would be the most Jerry thing ever.

I don't see how it could possibly happen. It's not like he's been coaching elsewhere and proving that we made a mistake or that he's gotten better.

He had a failed OC tenure and has been out of coaching for several years.

It's absurd to suggest and I can't imagine even Senile Jerry would do it.

If he goes there, I officially quit the Cowboys for good.

No watching occasionally, no casual interests, nothing.

That would be my breaking point.
No way does he do that. Unlike the pre-Deion signing, this time Stephen might really punch him in the face.

Even aside from the RB situation the offense is broken and the overall design is average and unimaginative.

How long has that been an issue in Dallas? Dez was complaining about it when he was here and we have changed coordinators since.

We've never had anybody from the coaching tree that has truly reimagined offense in the NFL, so it's been a while.

You basically have the Shannahan/McVay tree of offensive minds who are running roughshod and a one-off like Ben Johnson who I think is good but got kind of lucky to fall into a situation where he had a ready made elite OL and heavy investments at RB all coinciding at the same time, kind of how we were in 2016. I'm not including Reid because he might have the literal GOAT QB, even though his offenses are very good.

We were fine last year because the running game/OL were decent but the offense was still kind of basic.
