If I had to guess this means they both miss 2 games, absolute maximum, although I wouldn't be surprised if Parsons pushed to come back against the Lions or even the Steelers.

I've been thinking Parsons should be more of a "designated pass rusher" anyway, playing only about 60% of the snaps, so this might be a good time to experiment with that a bit.

Roll with Kneeland/Lawrence/Golston in base sets (i.e. firm up the edges against the run) and have Parsons float around more.

Yeah we will see, if I know Parsons at all I think he is going to push to play earlier than later. With Lawrence, I'd rather just let him get healthy. I honestly am not sure he has been all that particularly impactful. It kind of hurts our depth but I think Kneeland looks about the same playing LE right now.
 
Doubt we have much chance at all now against Steelers or Lions. AND these injuries will probably linger all fuckin season.

Bland is the one I'd really like to get back. I'm curious to see how the pass defense looks with him out there. I have real problems and questions about the scheme but it's hard to judge when the guy opposite Diggs is getting picked on the way Carson and Booth have been. Bland sort of brings a totally different dimension to it.

Well Goof Son's claim that Parsons could be back even next week was idiotic. It'll be several weeks I'm sure. And confirmed that it's even longer for Lawrence.

I'm in Dallas today and Werder has been on TV saying someone told him it might be a long time for Lawrence.
 
I'll say this. The defense has sucked even with those guys. It can suck just fine without them. I'm not going to fret.
