Big Bill is wrong about the talent thing.
Yeah, I don't know what talent he's talking about as far as stopping the run. If he even interviewed for coach, one of the first things he'd tell Jerry is that he needs a complete DL overhaul.

We have the talent to be way better than this though.

The run defense has been historically bad these last two games, the personnel isn't great but they aren't historically bad either.

The problem is that the questionable personnel is being exacerbated by the lack of effort, toughness, competent coaching, so on and so forth.

I don't know, man... Mazi, Joseph, Watkins (or whoever), and Phillips is pretty close.

We didn't have a significantly better group last year though either.

Hankins, Mazi, Gallimore and Osa is a comparable group and while the run defense was below average at best, it wasn't so bad that teams were putting up 30 while attempting one single pass beyond 10 yards.

Agree that any pro player should be better than this garbage, and something is seriously wrong with the mentality of the team. If nothing else, you should at least be able to put enough people in the box that they have to beat you passing.

But still, I think that's one of the sorrier groups I can remember. I really believe these arrogant buffoons thought, "Hey, we're great drafters, so it has to be coaching and Mazi will be really good this year." :doh

It's definitely terrible, although I think it's a defense-wide problem. The Saints killed us on the perimeter and our dumbass edges couldn't do anything against simple RPO's yesterday.

We have one of the worst DT groups in the league but it runs way deeper.

Big Bill is wrong about the talent thing. We can beat the bottom feeders in the league but not the glitterati.

The Ravens and Saints aren't the glitterati by any stretch. We have enough talent to beat those teams.

Brady Bottle Lock it.

Come on, William.....Dallas is a great place for old legendary coaches with 20-something year old girlfriends.

William Belichick, Head Coach of the Dallas Cowboys....

You gotta hope that one of Jerry's grandkids will care enough to do what Jerry never would, assume HC responsibilities.

This team has nothing at DT and not much at DE. Tank still hustles and makes some plays, but 11 is too small for the position. Have a rookie with some upside I guess. There is fucking nothing there on DL. It is no wonder teams go heavy and fuck them in the ass. They might even like it, it seems.

Myers knows Parcells well and I've heard him speak on this many times, but never heard him say Parcells regretted quitting.

I just wanted him to stay the one more year.

As good as that 2007 team was, I can't imagine how much better they would have been being a much more disciplined team with a real coach at the helm.

I will go to my grave believing parcells would have won big with that team had he stuck it out.

Highlighted by the miracle MNF Bills win and the Romo over head center snap scramble vs Rams…we had the mojo

then TO gets hurt vs Panthers and it all came crashing down
