Saints Stuff…

Was listening to some of the PCs and was struck by how much praise Schottenheimer had for Luepke. Volunteered it, too. Said he was really underrated and did more things well than people realized. Kind of cool.

Also praised Spann-Ford's physical nature and how well he blocked. I guess we knew they liked him by how many snaps he played, but still.
So…nada about Schoonerpooner?

Figures.

I just wanna know if now @Cotton has to start the game thread with "Let the bullshit commence" again....

Saints have been a tough defense for a while now. Last time we needed some big plays on offense, though Pollard got himself hurt doing it IIRC.

We are sorely missing that element Pollard helped being us in recent years.

The Saints defense is good, but I remember seeing last year that their defense played basically all the worst offenses in the NFL. Hard to tell of they are that good or if they just feast on the bottom dwellers. They played the Panthers week one, again, not much of a test.

They're in arguably the worst division in football so yeah, it helps to boost the numbers when you get 4 games against the Panthers and Falcons.

And even the Bucs were struggling last year when they played them the first time.
