Werder doesn't quite seem to grasp what the actual issue is.

People are frustrated that they aren't doing everything it takes to make the team a championship contender.

Not that it isn't a good team.

I will say this, I was happy to at least see Lance trying some more difficult stuff. 5 picks is bad but if he plays ultra conservative all game, every game, he won't ever grow. He actually completed some difficult throws yesterday.

I don't know why I should even care though. The guy isn't the future in Dallas. He isn't going to be the backup. So the end game is all the same. Maybe we decide he is some sort of a specialist QB we can use for special packages running the ball. But other than that none of it matters.

Rush is getting up there, if they wanted to keep Lance as a backup in 2025 and beyond I'd have no problem. He has enough tools (his legs) to keep a team afloat for 4-5 games, anything beyond that is moot anyway.

But as long as Rush is willing to stay for like 3/year is probably prefer him.

Rush is a lifer. He has no aspirations to be more than a backup. But not a bad job for him collecting a few mil every year and only taking a handful of snaps most seasons.

If I were Rush I'd never leave Dallas. He doesn't have the physical tools to ever be a starter. I'd just keep milking that comfy position.

Maybe the next Taysom Hill? If he is used right it might work. I mean, we need RBs.
 
Besides the insanity of keeping this guy because you refuse to admit a mistake, what does that 2/3 the number of plays mean? Jerry is saying he wished he had fewer plays? But then he suggests he wishes Lance had more plays? Does Jerry know WTF a fraction is?

It's typical Jerry speak. He's saying he's happy that Lance was able to take as many snaps as he did, and that Jerry would have been happy seeing him take even two thirds that amount. So the fact that he got even more is great.

It's classic Jerry bullshit but it's not crazy.
