But with multiple picks (1sts?) you could have 2 more guys on rookie deals and not have to ante up to your free agent, which, they so clearly hate to do.

Yeah, weird how other teams manage to do it year after year, but we can't.

I guess we've just been so much more in tune for the past decade with how the cap is going to go and the financial constraints each team will have to deal with than everyone else.

Obviously it's paid off in championships. I'm really thankful that this team is so intuitive and clever.

That sounds great. But you have to know how to trade for value. The most talented guy we have traded away got us a fucking fifth round pick.

I appreciate how some teams know how to trade guys ahead of time and get great value. But we can't pull that off with Jerry and Stephen, they are a joke show.

I'd be fine with trading Lamb if there was some intelligent design behind shifting resources into different positions and using the money saved to bolster the roster in FA over the next year or two.

The issue is that these people are morons and literally ignore FA, so trading Lamb would purely be a cost cutting measure that kicks the can down the road by bringing in more draft picks.

With all that in mind, fuck trading him.

Calling out the position as DE in these comparisons is done to exaggerate his physicality based on the technicality that he does line up a lot as a DE. i mean, just because Dallas lines up Marquise Bell at LB, doesn't make him a real LB. Parson’s an Edge.

An edge who runs a 4.4 is insanely impressive, but calling it a 4.3 is flat out lying. 4.3 is Tony Dorsett speed. No one has run that fast in Dallas since Joey Galloway. If Parsons really could run a 4.3, then he would actually be as good as he has deluded himself into believing he is.

Dwight Freeney, who weighed 20 pounds more than Micah, ran a 4.48. Call it a 4.4?

They would get a third round pick in return and claim that they just can't afford the highest paid players at three positions and that was the best they could get.

Yes, reducing it to semantics completely misses the point.
 
We're just a shade over 4 weeks away from the opener and these morons are still sitting on their hands with Lamb for literally no reason. They're going to give him the same damn contract sometime over the next 2-3 weeks that they could've given him at any point over the last two months, but now that Lamb has sat out the entire offseason there's a significant risk of injury during the season.

I expect him to miss at least 3-4 games this season, primarily because dumbo and dumbo jr. are aggressively stupid.

Yep, they will sign him but it's going to be last minute. They will gain nothing by waiting and instead hurt because the dude isn't in true game shape.
