This is retarded. Particularly the 'post Dorsett' statement. So, you'd leave Emmitt off the Cowboys Mount Rushmore of Cowboys running backs? You'd prefer to have somebody like Walt Garrison regarded as one of the alltimer RBs for the Cowboys over Emmitt? Please.

Maybe there should be no Rushmore post Rayfield Wright for the Oline. Why should guys like Larry Allen, Zack Martin, Tyron Smith, etc... be even considered, eh?

You read it wrong. I meant there should be no running back Rushmore that excludes Tony Dorsett and Emmitt. They are required.

Then say that. The way you stated it, it sounds like nobody AFTER (post) should be considered.
 
I think Marion Barber was a significant enough contributor to the Cowboys that he should be remembered fondly.

Maybe he only had 4 years of real productivity, but man was he fun to watch in those 4 years.

Some of the most exciting moments of Cowboys football between 2005-2008 were provided by him because he was arguably the toughest runner in all of football during that span and maybe even the toughest runner in franchise history.

I'd have no problem placing him on a post-Emmitt Mount Rushmore as the guy possessed a very special and unique talent that no other RB in Cowboys history did.

RIP to a special one.

Sure, I remember him fondly. And if you had to pick four since Emmitt, okay. Just saying that with this franchise's history at the position, he isn't one of the greatest or most memorable like Loree said.

This is exactly right.

A guy like Barber is not worthy any more than a guy like Robert Newhouse would have been.

A few nice seasons as a complimentary back is not worthy of Mt. Rushmore.

Barber never had a 1000 yard season, had over 900 only twice, and only had 3 seasons even over 4 YPC. Those just aren't Mt Rushmore numbers.

Hell, Pollard has a better claim.

We should remember Barber's time with the team fondly and he was an exciting player, but there's no need to make it more than it was.
