Yep. You just have to want to spend the money and be willing to push the cap hits into the future when the cap is bigger.

The only time it doesn't really work is when the player tanks and you have to get rid of him, which forces the money to accelerate onto the cap before you wanted it to (Jaylon Smith for example).

I don't mind 33-35/year if it's 5+ years because it'll really allow them to backload things a bit, if it's 4 it'll be tough but maybe Stephen can hire another waiter or two to help figure it out.

My guess is he hasn't had enough dinner and drinks with Jerry to make him feel the special bond he desperately needs with his players. Maybe Lamb needs to start slapping Jerry on the ass...
