Being in person strengthens communication, keeps us accountable to each other, encourages teamwork.

I we did shit like track mouse clicks or work checked in on an hourly basis people would flat out leave

No one wants that and no one wants to track that.

what I do want is for people to feel supported, mentored, like their advice and brainstorming matters.

We crushed during the pandemic because of a few fluke investments and the heroic efforts of a few. Our innovations, relationship building, and out of the box progress greatly suffered. And wow did we waste time on shit we didn’t need to when a few words from the right person would have changed everything.

That all changed for the better nearly the minute we all got back.

Maybe some industries can work fine with a completely remote workforce, but not ours.
