2024 Draft Weekend Chatter Thread

Someone said this is what Brock's dad looked like after it was announced his son had been drafted by the Raiders, but he's already been banned from all the casinos. :lol

It is sad that I can't get over the RB thing in an otherwise amazing draft.

Like a turd in an amazing punch bowl.

These guys will always have a championship killing blind spot and it is so frustrating that it just moves from one thing to another over the years.

I can see us not drafting a DE in 2025 or 2026 even after Kneeland is okay and Sam Williams is in the pen.

Then bringing back a broken down D-Law, because Jerry watched him on TV with the Panthers and knows he's still a DE1.

Usually I wouldn't complain about a draft because we didn't target a need. The point of the draft is to not draft for need. Drafting specifically for need just leads to worse picks.

But we left ourselves so wide open from free agency that it's hard to not look at the draft and go, we have to fill this need. Free agency already came and left. So the draft is sort of your last chance to really fill a need outside of trades and picking up other teams trash. And RB is the one need that you actually can target in the draft and fill an immediate hole relatively easily. It's not a position of development. And yet, the last two years, the exact same thing. Massive need and we just keep punting the need down the road.

If Zeke and Dowdle is your plan at RB, you're fucked. That's as bad as it gets.

I posted a wife meme once on FB, and it took until 15 comments in before I posted that meme. It was amazing no one got there before me. :lol

Mother****er!

And even worse he's a Packer now. Our poor excuse for a RB room is going to insanely pale next to theirs

God, if he would have been our third round pick I'd feel like this was an A+ draft. Sure, maybe we don't get a LBer, who cares. I feel a lot better about finding an UDFA Lber or free agent to fill out our 4th LBer spot.

They just signed Josh Jacobs and still drafted him!

Props to you on being the first I remember to really tout Lloyd, too.

They had a 30 visit with Lloyd. Not to defend the team but is it possible they didn't like Lloyd when he visited?

Guess they didn't like him enough over a "special Teamer who really tries hard"

As well as we did in this draft, it can never be a clean win. I am highly skeptical of Liufau.
Liufau vs a gimpy Overshown. Who wins?
