I agree in theory.

But even resetting the QB contract, they wouldn't take advantage of that and spend on the team around him anyway. Just like they didn't when Dak was on a rookie deal, just like they didn't with Lamb or Parsons or Diggs.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was too far from how they see things. After all, this is a front office known for entire drafts looking for backups and special teamers.
 
30 years of fucking failure, it amazes me that homers aren't extinct.
