Michael Wilbon compared him to a "slave owner." He still works for ESPN.

Wilbon’s not on the Cowboys beat either. He has his schtick and it works for his audience and no one else cares. It’s hardly deep journalism.

People with the real inside story like Johnson, Garrett, and Romo are (now) well in the fold.

Multiple disgruntled ex-players tend to stay quiet for fear of backlash, but even those who’ve spoken out have said essentially the same things Schultz did.

Bottom line, if the tone becomes too “distracting” Jerry can call a media blackout like he’s done before.

I wouldn’t doubt Jerry has real insiders sign an NDA

The example is Tim McMahon. He challenged Jerry and he got moved to the Mavericks beat. He didn't "never work again."

I think it was Switzer who said he literally did. Of course enforcing that would probably get ugly for Jerry.

I do remember someone interviewing Wade and he started to say some things but then stopped himself and said something like, "Never mind, it's not worth it." Wade also touched on the Garrett situation in his book but didn't go into a lot of detail. Said something about how Jerry let him use the Jones plane when Bum died.

Which I'm sure he just loves. Bottom line he's out of the NFL

NFL insiders who challenge Jerry are making a career choice.

Just for shits and giggles I went back and looked at who we drafted in the second round of 2016 instead of Chris Jones......yup....Drop Foot. Jones went 3 picks later.

They should cut him. And I can't see why anyone would trade for him.

Yeah, no one is trading for that contract.

Hell it sucks for us because we only save $800,000 if we outright cut him. We save more if it's designated a June 1, but then leave a bunch of dead cap under the tree for 2025.

Random thought:

I would like another impact pass rusher

The Chargers will probably trade or (most likely) release Mack or Bosa or both.

I would like one, please.
