They also manipulate the timing of signings for the relevance. Right now, they have one side of the ape habitat legit mad.

Fuck they even did it with Zimmer, and I called it from a mile away. Even down to the press conference to announce it.

Would it shock me if we flip a switch and say that we are still working on the contract. Of course not, that's a Jerry and Stephen negotiating special just to show Dak we don't really have to extend him. But why do that shit. If you want to resign him negotiate and if you're too far apart or unsure move on.

There IS cause for alarm.

Not because "O M G will they extend him?", but because it affects how much they could potentially spend in FA, and on top of that other top QBs could get deals in the meantime which only would serve to make Dak even more expensive.

No talks are a positive thing as far as I'm concerned when a good QB wants elite money.

It's not though because I don't believe for a second that they aren't resigning him.

They think a staring contest is a negotiation tactic and they do it all the time. But no amount of time will give them leverage here, it just serves to potentially make him more expensive.

Just like last time.

Right, so where do the Ernsters and No Cs draw the line? So it's okay for people to bang on the glass like you're a zoo animal during a set of cleans... Would it be okay to sell tickets to player workouts? To put a literal spotlight on the players while they're trying to work out? When is it too much?

Or is there no line where you don't blame the player for "not being focused enough"?

I hate that line of thinking... that if you have a problem with it, it's always your fault for not dealing with the Jerry Circus well enough. GTFO with that.

These stupid bitches all have Stockholm syndrome.

I can at least be a Cowboys fan while acknowledging how much of a moron Jerry is or how bullshit the atmosphere surrounding the team is. These idiots can't seem to handle walking and chewing gum at the same time so they rationalize everything dumbass Jerry does to fuck this team by blaming the interchangeable pieces (i.e. "players aren't focused enough).

Amen.

The diamond is still surrounded by trash.

But yea, half of these dumbass Cowboys fans these days weren't even alive for any real success. Combine that with so many kids today having warped perceptions of what success is (i.e. how much attention you get, social media nonsense) I can easily see why they can't find their ass from a hole in the ground when it comes to why the Cowboys are a joke organization.

It's fucking amazing that they've managed to even be as competitive as they have been over the last decade.

Can you blame Schultz when you have a bunch of retarded Ernie's beating on the glass while you're trying to lift? And I feel that is probably just the tip of the iceberg of what dumbfuck shit players in Dallas have to deal with that you don't anywhere else.
Remember when Rocky turned his training session for the Clubber Lang fight into a public spectacle? Remember?!

Machota actually says he thinks there's only a 50-50 chance that they get an extension done with Dak.

But he thinks Dak isn't going anywhere. Why, because Dak will stay with even a reasonable offer because being QB of the Cowboys gives you so much over being QB of a random team.

Not sure I agree with that at all. I think Dak wants all the money he can get. Unless of course Dak has a terrible year this year and has to take a decreased offer.

Edit to add a couple other things... Thinks Biadasz and Gallup are gone (duh)... Says Gallup would probably be behind Tolbert now and the coaches actually really like Jalen Brooks :towel and even think they could get more out of Turpintime. Also said McCarthy doesn't seem nervous or uptight about being on the last year of his deal (partly because he likes Zimmer so much).

I hate that huge cap # for this season, but I absolutely would much rather let him play out the season than to extend him right now.

He is not the guy and we all know that.

But there's another reason to let him play it out -- maybe putting him in a prove it sort of situation causes him to get over the yips?

I believe @Simpleton mentioned this before, but Dak wasn't this choker who folded under pressure from the jump. In fact, he was the opposite of what he is now in that he was a decent passer at best but the guy seemed to up his game when it mattered most as he showed in both the Green Bay and Seattle playoff games.

And against the Rams, at no point in that game did he ever look shaky. The pressure is something that eventually got to him but I don't think he's a born choker.

So if you put all this pressure on him to perform for his money, maybe it actually results in a positive effect?

Either way, I see letting him play the season out on his final year as a win-win.

I hope the Cowboys hold off.
