I don't get this one. So you're not allowed to bench a guy to prevent the risk of injury? Or is it because they asked him to modify his contract at threat of benching? Which again seems pretty normal. You see teams all the time demand a pay cut and if the player doesn't agree they pull them to not risk injury before they cut them.
