I think the Byard trade was a contract dump for the Titans... they just gave him a 2 yr. $25M extension ($7M guaranteed). They (the Titans) are jockeying for the Caleb Williams lottery.

Williams stock is going down fast. He hasn’t been real successful this season in stats and accomplishments. He has the rest of the season to make a splash but the establishment is beginning to question his ability under fire.
 
They also drafted Malik Willis... who will be splitting snaps with Levis should Tannehill be out. Not exactly a strong show of confidence.
