The fact that they looked just as bad, if not worse against the 49ers than in previous years is the main reason for the freaking out. Aside from that game the offense has been probably slightly above average.

Not great but not horrific either.

The Online is my biggest concern on offense right now. The good news is there is talent there and it’s healthy finally. But something is wrong that they need to figure out. My second biggest concern is just the anchor that Gallup is to our offense.

I think that is part of it unfortunately. Our splits look a lot tighter which has jumbled the middle of the field for running the ball. It’s just running into a big pile up. Hard to create holes when all the defenders are close to each other inside. We barely try to run outside.

The splits are very troubling to the point that it appears they are going to continue to struggle with wide sets. That does not bode well.

True, but they did target Gallup and inordinate amount by comparison. He got ten, and Cooks got like 4 I think. Even Ceedee only got 7 if I am not mistaken.

I don’t know how much of an impact a move like this would make, but it’s clear as day we need RB help.

I wouldn’t mind a nice ILB or WR3 either.

I’d like to see them at least try to do something to improve the roster. I’d rather they do it as soon as possible and not wait until the deadline.

Shanahan has collected these weird physical RB/WR hybrids over the last few years and their ability to play any position confuses defenses.

The only reason I wouldn't immediately dismiss it is because McCarthy drafted and coached Adams in Green Bay for several years. I'd be willing to give up a 2nd if Adams signed a reasonable extension that significantly decreased his cap hits over the next 2-3 years.

Or maybe the Raiders would eat some of those cap hits if they traded him, but that'd be my main concern.
