Of course dumbo Fisher doesn't have anything concrete on this and the "numbers" are just pure speculation. I'm perfectly fine resigning him but it obviously depends on the numbers, if it's 4-5 years it should probably be around $10M per year, if it gets up to 6-7 I'd be fine with an AAV around 13-14 given the flexibility a deal that long gives us.

I think in the middle of a severe long term injury isn't the greatest time to give a guy $50 million.

I wouldn't call an ACL a severe long term injury anymore, especially if he's seemingly ready to go in August, but we'll see. If he's in jeopardy of losing regular season games then I'd agree.

He's one of my favorite players so I hope we do sign him. Lock up a guy like that who is a great run blocker and has such a great attitude and work ethic.

I bet Zack gives it his full endorsement.

It's enough of a risk that I wouldn't bet $50 million on it.

Seems silly unless you're getting a sizable discount.

It wasn't just the ACL tho. It was like everything in the knee. Still, a 50 mil contract for a good OL is a good risk, cuz I'd imagine it would be at least for 4 years.

50 million means nothing unless you tell me the years. 50 million over 5 years would be completely reasonable and arguably even a bit of a value.

Yep, if that's a 3 year deal, hell no. But 5 years, 50 mil? Sounds like a good risk and value.

But no matter the years, the same or a similar deal would likely be there once he shows he's healthy and playing at the same level. No matter how you slice it outside of a big discount there's no reason to do this right now.

unless your name happens to be Mike Fisher.
