says a lot considering the extent of his injury.Doubt there's much concern that he isn't ready for the opener in 2+ months if he's already moving like that.
I guess sports medicine has come a long way.says a lot considering the extent of his injury.
Definitely.I guess sports medicine has come a long way.
and yet there's the curious case of Gallup.I guess sports medicine has come a long way.
and yet there's the curious case of Gallup.
Good find. From: NY Giants Team Doctor Discusses ACL Injury Treatment History :
Dr. Warren, who has been examining the injury risk of potential players for the New York Giants at the NFL Combine for three decades, recalls the tremendous change he’s seen. “Thirty years ago, we had to reject approximately 80-90% of the players who had an ACL injury either because it had been missed or reconstructed poorly. Today when we look at the numbers, we pass approximately 90% of players.”
Absolutely correct.Playing WR is significantly different than OL in terms of reliance on the knee and associated pressure points.
I don't know if others here noticed this, but last season there were several members of the media saying that Gallup's problem was that he "lacked confidence" in his knee. It could be that the media was quoting a trainer, not sure.
Anyway, it would have pissed me off big time if I were Gallup. If I had surgery and the knee didn't feel right, the last thing I'd want to hear is that it was all in my head. It truly is adding insult to injury.
Huh. Are you thinking that his knee injury had no impact on how he ran his routes? It was half ass routes. That's on him. He should probably take responsibility for that. He was bad last year.
Those routes he ran were often horrendous and showed that his route running skills are not complete. We also had him in a role that really is not him unless he can and is sent deeper. It was half ass routes. That's on him. He should probably take responsibility for that. He was bad last year.
and yet there's the curious case of Gallup.

It’s a lot mental and a little physical when you don’t have confidence in your knee closing in on a year after a surgery. If you can't run a route because your knee is hurting you shouldn't be on the field. I absolutely think it was mental.
lets just say the preliminary report is solid.Let's pump the brakes, we haven't seen Steele in action yet.
