Tyron at LT as long as he lasts, Tyler at LG. When Tyron gets hurt , Tyler slides over. Let a bunch MFers fight over swing tackle and LG2.

Can someone explain to me how Tyler Smith's ability is not wasted at either guard spot? A rookie LT who got better and better as the season progressed. That's a 4-leaf clover. Keep the dude at LT. Let Tyron S. and Steele figure out RT.

I mean you could have a dude playing LT at a high level making what 3 mil or so. That's the kind of discount you should take advantage of.

I’m good with that, but you need to solve LG. Who you got?

I’d see if Tyron can make the move to G. If not then it is a battle between Farniok, Waletzko, Asim, and Bass.

I recall Tyler Smith was a question mark when the season started last year, so who knows who you got at LG till things start for real. But I'd rather have a question mark at LG than a question mark facing the edge rushers from Dak's blind side.

One way to think about it -- It's not like Connor Williams/Connor McGovern set a high bar at LG. It's not unreasonable to think that someone among Edoga and the other hopefuls could play at the Connor-level. In fact, better seems quite possible.
Have you ever watched Edoga play with the Jets? Woof. Yeah he did okay last year but I just don’t see it.

We have done the utility lineman thing well in the past with the likes of Cameron Fleming, Cam Irving, Ty Nsekhe etc. I do not think he is at that level even.

Exactly how I feel. When Tyron goes down hopefully it isn't for long, and we'll be fine with what we have in the meantime. People are overworrying about it. We've run with JAGs at that spot for years.

You can cover one week spot in the OL. Especially at guard. I don’t think it will be that big of a deal really

Other than a few highlights on YouTube, I've never seen Edoga play.

I think of Connor Williams and Connor McGovern as "frequently adequate" players who shouldn't be so difficult to replace. It is true that both were signed to decent deals by other NFL teams, so maybe I'm not giving them enough credit.

It'd be great if the Cowboys had top-notch LG waiting in the wings, but that didn't seem to happen.

So Farniok and the newbs will push him up or out. Asim and Bostick.
