Time to just call it a season and get ready for next year?

Yeah I agree with this completely. Look at KC. They have gadgeted a ton of victories out of a bunch of odd shaped parts. Think what Andy Reid could do with our crew. Fug...
Probably get us to the playoffs most years, which is better than we're doing now. But if the past is any indication he wouldn't get us to a SB either. He's one of the coaches like Marty Schottenheimer who could regularly get into the playoffs, even occasionally get a bye or home field and then lose.

Now I'd take him over Garrett in a heartbeat but I'd just expect our playoff loses would be more painful getting a little deeper and then still losing.

Why would we have to recycle some old fucking been there done that coach?

Do you homework and hire a guy on the rise like the Rams did.

Yea the problem is that an idiot like Jerry will most likely undermine someone like that, if he even signs off on hiring him in the first place.

Guys like that need a normal environment where they're left alone to do their work, not a sometimes-sane, sometimes-circus environment like Dallas is.

Twitter:

Jerry Jones declined to blame a lack of coaching adjustments for blowout losses the last two games, then said: "For whatever the reason, we're getting beat pretty good in the second half."

In all honesty why would any GM throw his coach under a bus mid season?

Unless you've got Bill Parcells waiting for you in a jet at Teterboro, every answer to questions leading you to criticize your own coaching should reinforce the current coaching until the day the season ends.

They need to get on Jerry's ass, so he's inclined to do something to get them off of Jerry's ass.

It's time to start walking on eggshells again.

The only chance of that happening is a total collapse by this team right now.

Go into the tank and lose more games by way of embarrassing fashion.

7-9 or 8-8 just gives Jerry more a reason to give his man in the mirror speech where he'll definitely defend Garrett and say something to the effect of "We didn't do enough to help him." So they have to leave Garrett with very little room to be defended.

My guess is that he'd change some coaches out but still keep Garrett, but by completely falling apart, Jerry would have to at least consider it.

Marinelli will be your scapegoat, and your only significant scapegoat. Just come to grips with it now to save yourself some heartache.

There's no doubt that the defense needs new life.

Marinelli's tired ass ain't getting it done.

Point being, more need to go than just him.

Being a fan of this team is a complete nightmare.
I was just talking to my dad about that yesterday.

Seriously, think about what a miserable experience it's been being a Cowboys fan since the turn of the century.

• 3 Straight 5-11 seasons
• A humiliating loss to the expansion Texans
• An absolutely gut-wrenching playoff loss to the Seahawks
• An absolutely gut-wrenching playoff loss to the Giants
• A humiliating 48-6 season finale to the Eagles
• A 1-7 start to the 2010 season
• 3 consecutive season finale losses to each NFC East foe for the division crown and a playoff spot
• Countless franchise records set for losses and leads blown
• An absolutely gut-wrenching playoff loss to the Packers
• An absolutely gut-wrenching playoff loss to the Packers….AGAIN
• In the midst of another joke of a season
• 8 seasons of Jason Garrett
• 22 seasons of Jerry being Jerry

Seriously.....why the hell are we even still fans at this point?

Throughout these last 17 years, we've had about 5 minutes of fun squeezed in between all of that misery.

It sucks being a Cowboys fan.

Which is why I roll my eyes when critics call Dallas fans "spoiled." When? Thirty years ago??

I wonder if kids in Texas are now Patriot fans?

You know, how no kids in Cleveland are Browns fans.
