I wish I knew what to tell you about these circumstances and it’s not because I haven’t experienced these circumstances because I have been in that position several times. While in banking I was in the upper management tier when ownership decided to to put their stock out to an investment group. In doing so the incoming group wanted to pick their own management group. My position was one that the incoming had brought from another institution thus forming Him to the job was a better comfort zone for them. There was several of these management changeout positions opening up but I didn’t wasn’t to wait them out so I ripped my abilities and went looking to governmental agencies to redirect my future. They were also where of the opening’s were most available. It was a Godsend decision and I was back in a solid position that I eventually retired from.

I still remember the the shock and awe feelings I experienced during that transition and it was not a pleasant time. Create a plan and begin with what you can do then what do you want to do. Somewhere in the crisis is the beginnings of an upcoming job and one that may take you where you don’t want to go but walk them all the way too the end until you land “the job”.

i have been looking for this thread. The shitshow of my career continues. Got back from vacation monday to be told that in cost cutting measured i was going to have to cut to three days a week. I have been at the job a year. Friggin ridiculous. There is no end in sight for this and honestly these people are so cheap if they figure out i can do my job in three days i will never get back to full time. So now i have to job search again and with an average tenure of 1.5 years in my last 7 or 8 jobs. A lot of companies get a little squirrely about hiring me. In the last ten years i have lost jobs from covid, quitting because of safety issues, being discriminated against, position eliminated, termed with no reason given, and quit one job because the people were garbage humans. I have been looking for a situation that i can stay in for 3-5 years minimum.

our company is a craft wholesaler and we get 90% of our inventory from China. So the new tarriffs are impacting the business. The brain trust that runs our family owned company did nothing to prepare for this until it actually impacted them.

Goddammit, they snuck a ”Social Justice Expert” on our call. Thank God Juneteenth has passed.

Don't they realize that Trump won and we're not doing this shit anymore?
Someone forgot to tell this homo. He fits all the categories. He is just changing the lingo, he is a SJ expert but is talking out “belonging”.

That's the new lingo. Of course they weren't giving up that easily just because Trump won.

It was horrible.

He asked about what things each facility did around Juneteenth and there were crickets. Then he started with the alphabet shit.

I wrote down some of the more absurd shit on Post-Its and they are on my desk. I will have get back into this tomorrow.

Sorry I did not clarify. Turns out she was in full cover her sweet ass mode.

She had been out for a “personal medical condition” for a couple of weeks.

Me being the kind and humble subordinate, I gave her a week to catch up before I hit her with all the horseshit that happened.

I was chastised for being “disconnected” and not “keeping her in the loop”.

It was nothing formal but I guess she wanted to go all rawr on me.

Okay, bring it Hellcat.

Jeez. More drama than Falcon Crest. That's right; I made a Falcon Crest reference.
