So, it's not good enough that Bease gave his endorsement of the issue. He should have done it way sooner. Nothing will ever be good enough. Why not say, "Man, thanks, Bease, I appreciate your concern and help with this issue."? Instead he gets a fuck you for not doing it years ago when he married a black woman? GTFO. Drew Brees apologized 4 times and it still wasn't good enough. On an issue that wasn't even racist. Well, not to the normal human at least. Because if you believe speaking out about people kneeling for the National Anthem is racist, then you are part of the problem.

I'd be extremely happy to have a conversation with KD about his convictions. I'd be happy to have a conversation with anyone that has dissenting views as long as they are reasonable. Saying someone should go back in time to give an I'm sorry is not a reasonable stance. It just isn't.

I'm becoming more disinterested in anything constructive by the minute. Unless you completely acquiesce to every single detail of every demand, no matter how ridiculous, you are met with vitriolic obstinance. This whole thing should have ended at, "Let's do a better job of weeding out racist cops and hold them more accountable for their actions." Now it appears everything was completely fucked off and we didnt even know it. Sorry, but I don't subscribe to that horseshit.

But here is the deal with that. We have never weeded out racist cops and held them accountable. Shit happens. A guy here or there might get fired or even face jail time.

I can't deny the rationale. Police in this country have been allowed to do what they wanted for so long, yet they have been protected by the unions. That's the strikepoint IMO.

I agree. But, you can't approach true reform from an irrational point of view, like defunding cops, telling people what shirts they can wear, or asking people to go back in time.
