Even though I identify as a pinkish hue, I would likely be considered a honkey by any familiar with the term

the word is funny and has never had any impact on me or anyone I know, we just laugh when called a honkey but perhaps I need to brush up on my recreational outrage

What is a "white person" anyway? Are they descendants of Great Britain, Germany, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, Switzerland, Sweden, Holland, Russia, Israel, South Africa, etc, etc, etc?

I think the 3 biggest advantages of being so called "white" are financial, anonymity and not being saddled with believing the world hates you and is out to get you.

I've applied for many jobs I never got but I never once came away from the rejection thinking "Damn, I didn't get that job because I'm "white" so I was always able to focus on what I could learn or do better so I could some day return and get said job.

I've wondered how one maintains hope and tenacity if part of you believes that no matter how good or qualified you are, there will be some folks who wont hire you because of something you cant change.
