I’m gonna need more info, but if this is truly the result of Donald Trump’s Department of Education then fuck him and fuck every fucking body in DC. This shit infuriates me. I’m at a bit of a loss right now. They fund the “regular” Olympics and cut this?? Like I said, fuck every fucking one of those fucks.

Okay, I have now read more into this story. The DOE's contribution to the Special Olympics makes up less than 10% of its overall budget. It had a budget of $107 million. The DOE's contribution is only $7 million of that. The way it was reported it sounded like it was a huge chunk of their budget and that simply isn't true. I'm not nearly as upset now after digging a little deeper into the subject.

That's a very good point. A crime was in fact committed here. So if they are saying that Smollett is innocent and dropped the charges, it only stands to reason the crime committed was by those two. So they should be prosecuted.

But we all know that they didn't actually do it. And when charges are not pursued, it will only further prove what really happened. I hope somebody asks the DA this on camera to get her "explanation".

I agree.... it's absurd.... but that's what they are saying.

I think it's not completely unheard of that a felony gets this kind of treatment.... it would be a pretty sweetheart deal.... but not completely unheard of. In THIS instance, though, the victim is not just the city of chicago having to foot the bill to investigate his lies, it's the trust and trustworthiness of the entire city and nation. IMO, he can't be let off easy for this. But he has been.

Smollett said something to the effect that he “couldn’t be his mother’s son if he did anything he’s accused of”, something like that.

Well, that’s what his day in court should have reconciled. The mfer would have rolled on two completely innocent guys if the authorities would have presented two presumably guilty men.

The “man”, and I use that term loosely when referring to Smollett, is scum of the earth and deserves to have his career and freedom taken away for at least the minimum sentence a guilty verdict would have come with.

Chicago really is a shithole. I really hope this injustice is corrected. Kim Foxx should be brought up on charges and lose her fucking job, too.
