What would have been wrong with saying, "A tragic event occurred yesterday. We'd like to take a moment to send out thoughts and prayers (or whatever platitude that doesn't get your panties all in a bunch) to Charlie's family and emphasize that these kinds of things are not what we stand for." Wtf would have been wrong with that? Instead he's, "HAHAHAHAHA, hiS OwN PeoPLe sHOT hiM!!!!" Fuck that piece of shit. I hope he gets hit by a fucking truck.
