Maybe we can go back to not everyone having to be a total asshole and make everything about politics?

One of the reasons that Walter Cronkite and Johnny Carson weren't always getting cancelled is that they didn't make every thing they did personally political.

They told political jokes but they were equal opportunity. Kimmel gets up there and gives his personal political rant.

It's not the same.

I wish organically people would stop watching that crap and then it would get cancelled organically. But the actual problem with that is that the media companies are all owned by one side of the spectrum so they accept marketing their product to one side of the political spectrum.

Fuck the hell off.

Saying these kinds of things just alienates more of their voters. Their inability for honest self-reflection will be their undoing.

I do not think they are worried about voters as their brand is built on bullshit. They are a bunch of grifters outside of the political spectrum that do absolutely nothing to help the issue.

This seems healthy.

More of the same. This is who most of them are, I'm afraid. Not all of them for sure but the ones who aren't really need to speak up and disavow this shit for us to get anywhere. There are zero reasons why Trump should illicit this type of behavior from people. It's fucking absurd. I want to be clear: It's ok to dislike him. But calling him Hitler and advocating for his death are excessive and mentally ill responses.

I guess they like losing money.
They were already losing money after the Kimmel suspension.

And even before that, many conservatives had stopped supporting Disney for various reasons.

A true "damned if you do, damned if don't" situation for them.

Roseanne has entered the chat. You absolutely can say whatever you want but you are not free from the consequences. And your employer is, fucking absolutely, not required to suffer them for you. If I started telling all my clients that I enjoy torturing cats or some nonsense, how long do you think I'd have a job?

Yeah, I don't think Kimmel's position has anything to do with money. These shows all lose tons of money and they don't care. For whatever reason.
