This is the assistant fire chief in LA.
If my house is burning or I have an emergency, I don't give a shit if the person looks like me. That is insane. I want the person who can help me the most. I'm thankful for that human. I don't give a shit what they look like if they are good at their job.

And frankly if you apply it to race, is extremely racist. Could you imagine a white person saying they aren't comfortable with a black fire fighter or Mexican fire fighter?

Couldn't happen to a more deserving place.
I definitely feel sorry about the collateral damage the poor Republicans and moderates that are stuck under the thumb of the elite are incurring and whose shit is burning down. However I think the general consensus is these actors/actresses/politicians etc living in these areas aren’t getting much sympathy from Avg Joe America.
They voted and keep voting these clowns in, they contribute huge sums of money to the campaigns and fundraising efforts, and they are not shy about telling everyone else the economy is fine, DEI is fine, Biden is fine, the Democrats are fine, everyone else is fucking up the climate…and oh yeah BTW you’re a major moron if you don’t vote for who we say to vote for.
Fuck all those clowns…They voted for the shit they are going thru right now. Not once, not twice, but YEARS of voting for the Pelosi’s, the Schiffs, the Newsomes. It’s because of THOSE politicians, THEIR policies, and the Elites out there that CA is burning to the ground.

What a ridiculous take. These fires were going to happen and they were going to be difficult to fight due to decades of neglect and lack of investment in infrastructure, and poor planning by politicians of all different variants. For you to pin it on any particular type of voter, DEI, Biden or political party is just plain ignorant.

I'm sure that the children of Republicans, along with their parents, and their loved ones appreciate your sympathies, and it certainly helps them with picking up the pieces of their lives out of the rubble caused by fires that are the fault of those you have pointed out.

Just fucking stupid.

I know you won't watch it, but this might... just might, put it into perspective for some of you:

You used Jon Stewart for you reference? :lol

No shit.

Let’s just ignore the outlandish budget cuts, absolute lack of resources to clear underbrush and resolve hyper-dry areas each year as outlined by the Forestry service, the diversion of water that could of been stored instead of diverted for a Smelt that the tree huggers wanted to protect….the list goes on.

Even worse, of the 20 most destructive wildfires in CA history, 75% have happened since 2015. Which is incredibly interesting when you find out that’s right around the time CA’s elected ultra liberal Dems starting pushing huge climate change agendas and passing conservation bills that prevented controlled burns, budget cuts that prevented the inspection and maintenance of an aging electrical grid (power lines are suspected as the initial cause of 25-35% of wildfires in CA) crazy laws passed to protect certain flowers from too much rainfall…just crazy shit. But most of these laws wiped out what was needed to stay ahead of these huge wildfires. It also prevented the storage of water and allowed these environmental fruitcakes to reroute natural water coming in from the northern areas that CA needed to resupply itself during the arid seasons CA goes thru. Add all that in to what Newsome has done to the budget. It’s no wonder CA is burning to the ground.

So yeah, I’d say a lot of CAs problems are Democrat induced problems, and a small bit of research shows that even hard core Dems no longer in power are calling out the same things I just outlined.

Mistakes were made... by everyone. It's laughable that you frame this like no Republican had a hand in any of this. But that's how you obviously see things, the flames are still wiping out homes and businesses and you couldn't wait to fix blame on anyone who's not a Republican. Does it make a difference to you that 47% of the land in southern California is FEDERALLY OWNED? And using your timeframe, 2015 to now, that means the Trump administration is culpable in those very policies that you are correctly calling out as reasons this happened, along with plain ol' weather conditions. FFS, if it was up to some of you, there's someone to blame for SoCal not getting any significant rain in the past 4 months.
