I agree with c-rock's overall point, but in that particular case I think a lot of those dumbass commentators actually didn't know better. Their TDS was so strong they jumped at the chance to blow up the tiniest bit of evidence that Trump was wrong and killing people, etc. They wanted him to be wrong so badly so they could defeat him that they refused to look at any later evidence that he could be right.
