It was just announced that Bill Gates has bought up a bunch of farm land in North Dakota around Grafton, ND and the residents there are pissed. The Attorney General of North Dakota is fighting the sale going thru, citing a bunch of different shit I can't even begin to remember right now. Apparently, over the last few years, Gates has quietly bought 270,000 acres of farmland across the U.S. and is now the largest private owner of farm land in the country. Land he bought in Nebraska a couple years ago has sat DORMANT since he bought it. Producing nothing.

This along with all these 'mysterious' food processing plants burning down lately better get people to start opening their God damn eyes. Some shady fucking shit is going on.

Oh. And the guy who sold this land to Gates is Tom Campbell, owner of Campbell farms. Just sold the 2100+ acres that's been in his family for generations for over 13 million. Also, there's this...

Tom Campbell, 63, also is a former North Dakota legislator who has unsuccessfully sought statewide office, including abbreviated attempts at getting the Republican nomination for the seats now held by Sen. Kevin Cramer and Rep. Kelly Armstrong. There have been rumors that Campbell is considering changing his political affiliation and making another attempt for the North Dakota Senate during the next election cycle.


So, Bill Gates shows up with buckets of cash, buys up a bunch of farm land from a guy that will now flip to Democrat in another run at the state Senate? Nope. Nothing fishy going on here.

Damn. I'd heard that about him buying massive amounts of farmland but it's good (not really good) to hear an example first hand.
