If they allowed China to sell their EVs here, they would decimate the competition.
Whats so great about their EV cars? Honestly just curious.

Price I'm sure would be the biggest thing. I don't usually think China and think better quality but that's why I'm curious.

Tesla stock dropped after Elon smoked a joint on Rogan and it was fine. Everyone was panicking over Twitter when Elon fired 80% of the staff and it was fine.

Tesla will be fine and this is a non story.

All I know is my cousin has had Teslas for about a decade and I drove in his and it's the greatest car I've ever been in.

Supposedly the quality is comparable and they destroy on price.

As an aside, his board of directors isn’t too happy with bossman right now. Tesla stock is down 30%.

And if current owners don’t want to be associated with Musk, I would think that’s also hurting new car sales.
Fix your glasses, Irv. They were crooked.

"MUSK'S ECONOMIC JIHAD"
Trump will soon learn that his support isn’t infinite. His base might be rabid, but even the most die-hard MAGA voter has a breaking point.
Michael Cohen
Mar 09, 2025

As we near the second month of the new Trump administration, we are watching the greatest act of self-sabotage in modern political history unfold right before our eyes. President Donald J. Trump, the self-proclaimed champion of the forgotten man/woman, the self-anointed working-class hero, has stupidly hitched his wagon to a political neophyte; to none other than Elon Musk; a man who views the American social safety net as little more than a speed bump on his continued road to untaxed “DARK MAGA” opulence.

As this new administration will soon be measured by its first 100 days, Musk is setting fire to the very foundation of Trump’s support. And make no mistake; this isn’t some left-wing wet dream. This is happening. In real time. Musk, now in a position of unchecked influence over Trump’s economic policies, is taking a chainsaw to government jobs, slashing Social Security, and gutting Medicare and Medicaid. Why? So that the ultra-wealthy can bask in the glow of yet another grotesque tax cut. Because, of course, in Musk’s world, billionaires are the true victims.

Let me be crystal fuckin clear…the 72.5 million Americans who rely on Social Security, the millions who depend on Medicare and Medicaid, do not have savings. They are not living high on the hog, stuffing their mattresses with cash, stashing away stock portfolios, or day-trading from their hospital beds. No. These programs are their savings. And if Musk has his way, they’ll have to choose between their rent, their groceries, or their medication; because in America, survival is apparently only for the wealthy.

Here’s the cruel joke: Medicaid beneficiaries are literally prohibited from having more than $3,000 in savings per person, or $6,000 per married couple. That’s it. That’s the threshold. Go a penny over, and you lose your benefits. And yet, these are the people Musk (and Trump) have decided to squeeze. As if the elderly and disabled are hoarding fortunes in offshore accounts. As if their emergency funds won’t be drained in a month’s time under the weight of rent, utilities, and sky-high drug prices.

Musk’s vision for America is one in which billionaires can buy their eighth yacht, fifth aircraft and tenth home without breaking a sweat, while seniors are forced to ration groceries and their insulin. It’s a dystopian nightmare that not even Orwell could have dreamed up.

The numbers don’t lie. Cutting Social Security and Medicare isn’t just bad policy; it’s political malpractice. The vast majority of seniors vote, and they tend to lean conservative. They also tend to despise anyone who threatens their benefits. These aren’t trust-fund babies who can weather the storm of another billionaire tax cut. They are people who worked their entire lives, paid into the system, and expect the government to hold up its end of the deal. But in Musk’s America, they’re nothing more than collateral damage.

I call it political malpractice because Trump himself has acknowledged that as president, he is the one ultimately accountable. It’s not like he can pass the blame to Musk and walk away unscathed. He can cut him off; but ultimately, the buck stops with him. And when millions and millions of Americans start feeling the squeeze, they’re not going to be writing angry tweets at Elon Musk; no, they’re going to be showing up at the 2026 midterm ballot box, furious at the man, and the republican party, who let it all happen.

Know this…people vote with their wallets, and when you take away their ability to live with dignity, they remember. They remember at the polls, in protests, and in the furious calls to their representatives. And if Trump thinks he can waltz through his first 100 days without facing the wrath of the very people he’s betraying, he’s in for a rude awakening.

The sheer absurdity of this entire situation is almost too much to process. Here we have a man; Trump, who rode to power on the backs of working-class voters, aligning himself with another man, Musk, who thinks government assistance is a joke and that ordinary people should simply bootstrap their way out of medical debt. It’s the kind of stupid plotline you would find in a South Park episode and laugh your ass off because of its absurdity.

But here’s where the story takes a turn: Trump will soon learn that his support isn’t infinite. His base might be rabid, but even the most die-hard MAGA voter has a breaking point. And when grandma’s Social Security check disappears, when their Medicaid is yanked away, when the reality of Musk’s economic war on the poor sets in; who do you think they’re going to blame?

Trump can try to shift responsibility, he can scream “fake news”, “it’s Biden’s fault”, or “blame the Democrats” until he’s blue in the face, but the math doesn’t lie. You screw over 72.5 million people, and you pay the price.

Unfortunately, American’s will suffer. But, there is a light at the end of the tunnel…Musk’s economic jihad against working Americans will be the thing that sinks Trump’s presidency and the Republican party. And for once, the chaos will actually work in the favor of the American people.
