FYI :USA population is actually 331 million.

FYI to our medical friend who may not be aware;
I don’t know why people think the office of the President keeps tabs on every circumstance that goes on and makes every decision for every contingency. The federal government doesn’t work that way no does the Executive branch work that way. Every sector of Government including the Executive Branch has layers of departments and Agency Heads that have delegated authorities of approval and responsibilities. Dozens if not hundreds of topics are handled every day at various levels and until and unless something gets deemed important enough it never gets to the office of the President. There are many government officials who no doubt were aware of the virus situation including the CDC and intelligence Agencies that debated the issues and refined reports before they were ever sent to the office of the President. If there was a late start it was because the urgency of the situation didn’t get pushed up soon enough.

The time lines that are being reported may or may not be accurate but there are many heads in the Senate and Congress with their Committee Process plus medical advisors that were briefed and made aware of the situation. Some of the Committees that are the detractors of the President were aware of this situation early on as the Executive office including Medical Advisers who brief the Chief Executive so he doesn’t do this stuff in a vacuum. Yeah the buck stops at the top but it also passes by the eyes of many before it gets there.
plus the inherently tedious, bureaucratic process would have assuredly hindered and slowed down any response by any president regardless of party and how much he or she is loved or despised. So, while I agree someone less self serving and more cerebral than Trump may have endeavored to move faster, I suspect he/she would have been met with the same resistance until the shit hit the fan enough to cause all parties to finally stop playing games and get down to brass tacks

Pelosi blocked the relief bill for 4 FUCKING DAYS! In that time millions of people lost their jobs and thousands of businesses closed that will never reopen. That one act by Pelosi might be the single most vile act I have ever seen from a politician and that is fucking saying something.

Is he a shithead for issuing the "stay at home" order or because he said that information that has been out for a month is new?

Just curious because I'm kind of glad he shut the state down since people are stupid.
It was the idea that he undereducated on the fact people can be asymptomatic. This is not news that he should just be finding out.

thats the kind of BS Im referring to and I'm confident if Hillary was pres and the SOTH was a republican, we'd see similar games

I'm not defending either party, they both disappoint the hell out of me and debating that this one or that one isn't as bad because of x, y and/or z is a pointless exercise in futility imo and does nothing but further polarize us as a voting population who should be in solidarity on wanting to run them all the fuck out town

I agree. Both parties are culpable. They are all owned by lobbyists. They are fucking prostitutes. But, the reason I vote Republican is because, most time, they are the lesser of two evils. Also, they are closest to my values on my civil liberties. Democrats have zero issue taking away all civil liberties and putting all power with the government. I don't think there is a "political affiliation" that best describes my values. The republicans in the 70s and 80s would be as close as I have seen that might get closest.

I relate to what I thought were republican ideas but over the years I see them driving up the debt and doing hypocritical nonsense that undermines any devotion I may have once had toward them so they don't have my trust.

I despise many of the sentiments reflected by many democrats (like Bernie, Warren & AOC), not that I don't have sympathy for charity, the poor and that there needs to be checks against monopolies, too much corporate power with undue influence, etc but I don't believe government should be deciding how much someone can make, forcing tax dollars toward controversial issues like abortion that could be funded by those that are ok with abortion, etc , etc, etc.

The democrats I've met have typically had a high intelligence but what intelligence they may possess is overshadowed by their anger, condescending attitude and general disdain for anyone who they perceive as being too stupid to see things their way. I tease many of these types and remind them they're the reason why Trump got elected because folks couldn't stand their asses so rather than argue or dialogue with them, they just smiled and walked away without engaging their rant and sent them a big fuck you at the polls. I know several folks who didn't like Trump but had so much disdain for democrats and the current political system, they thought of Trump as a hand grenade and wanted to see what would happen if they threw that bomb into the White House by voting for him.

This is partially true. But it is emotional intelligence which does not blend well with reality when the economy is involved.
