Yeah, I would guess their idea is as long as hospitals aren't overrun, might as well let everyone get it like they eventually will anyway?

I'm not saying we're doing it the wrong way, but as some have said, I hope we aren't just postponing this until next fall when people aren't outside as much and immune systems are weaker.

Yeah, peaking at 106. Sounds pretty fucking good to me you moron. Also Swedish women are blonde and have big tits, so that's nice.
I'm confused, I thought the twitter poster was propping Sweeden which soumds reasonable?

Some of the stuff they are doing seems to do more harm than good. I went to the grocery store today. Lines were insane because of the new cleaning procedures put in place. The panic has created large groups of people in stores that you don't usually see. Additionally stores were told to have one entrance and exit. Which has now bottlenecked all the people coming in amd out mear each other.

Honestly I came more in close contact with people then I ever had before the virus because of the rules and the panic that has been created.

And of course you get all the people wearing gloves not realizing that they would be far better off washing their damn hands. Is it possible that acting like things are normal may have actually reduced some of this stuff and in the end it's all a wash?

Somewhat lost in all tihis is the recovery rate which is around 97% or a little less and this is without a serum or vaccination or successfully proven medication. Imagine what the recovery rate would be if the research that will follow was in place now.

As it currently stands it is about the same as the influenza viruses. None are good but I am still not convinced that this reaction is more due to the over politicization of the situation than is necessary to combat the actual condition. People are dying but every year people die from similar situations and this isn’t the first to come out of the country of China. The most affected groups are essentially the same and the first line of combatants is the same.

The same precautions for ones well being will continue to be what has been in place for many years. Wash your hands and keep your hands away from your face.

This panic has damn near put our country’s well being and financial stability in a very precarious position and I would bet what’s left of my manhood that it will be followed up with additional political hearings and other horseshit round of waste and crying.

Just continue to use normal practices and you have a 98% chance of overcoming it or near 100% of dying from something else.

@Iamtdg

Are you planning for changes to transportation when students return?

Something like “1 student per row but double the frequency of shuttles”, Max 50% occupancy per shuttle, mandatory face masks for riders, mandatory pump of Hand sanitizer as you board...

Prepare for chaos when the lockdowns are lifted.

I bet this virus comes back stronger and we’re back to being locked down within 30 days of normalcy.

What will be fun is all the chaos of wrongful termination lawsuits and tweets about folks being fired for no-showing because they don’t think it’s safe yet.

Media will be salivating for the first report of someone dying of coronavirus after they’ve returned to work.
Wrongful termination is pretty difficult unless you have a pretty solid worded employment contract. There is going to be additional cases of the virus there are viruses out and around all the time. It’s a fact of life. Most survive the bugs and there will be a big rush to find medicines and after everyone is satisfied that there is a treatment and only the antique brigade is still at risk it will be back to happy days are here again. The ongoing political charade will be the worst thing to deal with.

"Employment contracts"? Very few workers in total have contracts.

Right now people are already claiming wrongful termination because they took off work and then stopped following call in policies.

Once the whole bureaucratic nonsense can start back up, it is going to be a nightmare.

There will be lawyers.

Went grocery shopping (one major grocery store):

Completely out:
- toilet paper
- paper towels
- flour
- yeast
- rice
-all pasta varieties
- frozen fruit
- canned pineapple juice
- red, yellow and orange bell peppers
- tubs of regular yogurt (individual cups plenty)
- cleansing wipes
- bleach
- all disinfectant cleaning liquids
- all hand soap
This is probably just that store's supply chain with the exception of the paper products, cleaning supplies and amazingly enough, the rice and pasta. I have not seen problems getting, for example, yeast and bell peppers....probably because I never go looking for them.

Only thing I'm still seeing low is tp, there have been paper towels the last couple times I've went to the store.

It will be a waste of money. Anyone can be terminated as long as the are given reasonable notification and it doesn’t violate a contractual agreement. That’s the rule of thumb.

That's not exactly true. For example you couldn't be fired simply because you're old. No employment contract needed for that to be a valid wrongful termination lawsuit.

But there is a federal law about age discrimination. That suffices as a contract because uncle says so.
