Yeah, I would guess their idea is as long as hospitals aren't overrun, might as well let everyone get it like they eventually will anyway?
I'm not saying we're doing it the wrong way, but as some have said, I hope we aren't just postponing this until next fall when people aren't outside as much and immune systems are weaker.
Somewhat lost in all tihis is the recovery rate which is around 97% or a little less and this is without a serum or vaccination or successfully proven medication. Imagine what the recovery rate would be if the research that will follow was in place now.
As it currently stands it is about the same as the influenza viruses. None are good but I am still not convinced that this reaction is more due to the over politicization of the situation than is necessary to combat the actual condition. People are dying but every year people die from similar situations and this isn’t the first to come out of the country of China. The most affected groups are essentially the same and the first line of combatants is the same.
The same precautions for ones well being will continue to be what has been in place for many years. Wash your hands and keep your hands away from your face.
This panic has damn near put our country’s well being and financial stability in a very precarious position and I would bet what’s left of my manhood that it will be followed up with additional political hearings and other horseshit round of waste and crying.
Just continue to use normal practices and you have a 98% chance of overcoming it or near 100% of dying from something else.
