I cant help but wonder how the playoff game vs Green Bay might have gone with Romo at the helm.
Romo was due to return ~Week 10, IIRC. Would his health have held up enough for another six games to make it to the playoff game?

Holy clusterfuck, Batman. What are Schultz and Brown doing there? Were they actually asking Brown to block a DE? Or was Schultz supposed to and he has no idea what he's going? He sort of spins around, runs into Brown, and then jogs downfield.

And of course that man is the one who blows up the play. :doh

Brown was meant to block down on the DE and just kind of keep him out of the way with the idea being that a DE won't be able to get enough depth upfield to stop the reverse that's working towards the sideline while also being nudged laterally by Brown.

But Schultz basically blocked Brown and the DE got a free run upfield with no resistance from Brown thanks to Schultz.

You do see what challenges there are with Schultz and blocking. Ferguson barely played, so that may need to be looked at. All of Tampa’s TEs were left to block our left edge and both Otton and Keift supported well.

This wasn't even Schultz blocking poorly, it was just a mental mistake which I put on Moore and the coaches considering how many of them there were (I.e. the bungled WR tunnel screen to Lamb on the first drive).

The offense is just sloppy and poorly coached (on top of having pure talent issues) and it's very apparent when compared to the defense.

Schultz does look almost concussed or something, just wandering around like he doesn't know what he's doing.

I guess they wanted him to spin around and block to the right side as a decoy to make it look like the ball was coming around the right end.

And it's one thing for Brown to be a good blocker on corners, but to ask him to hold up a DE on a slow developing play?

This whole play is an example of being too clever by half.

The play depended on Schultz blocking somebody? Good luck with that. :lol

Guys confused is totally on the coaches. You're just not practicing this stuff the way you should.

Schultz seems to be horrible at blocking .

This is something someone who doesn't understand football would say, particularly someone who cocoons themselves in their hermit kingdom with no real understanding of what's going on in the outside world/NFL like Jerry.

1992 was 30 years ago, the league has changed 5 times over since then and with the salary cap you need coaching scheme/design to often make the difference when talent levels are mostly the same across the league, assuming you have a QB in place.
