So sad. I would say you moved to the wrong state but we have had our fair of tornadoes this year in Texas too.
We‘ve still never been in real danger from one of these storms.

We’re currently in Cali and will be until July-ish. We seem to always be out of town during tornado season. Not sure if that’s on purpose or not.

This is the one a few days ago in SW Oklahoma. Pretty amazing footage of a white-looking tornado.

How did it go last night with the storm?

You and the family all good?
Family is safe, only damage I had is a neighbor's tree smashed a 10ft section of our fence.

Tree fell on my brother's house and brand new truck...it hadn't even had its first oil change.

Hardly anyone has power in our town.

Large trees have just been toppled over everywhere, power lines down everywhere.

We usually get power back after a storm pretty quickly since we live in town, but it's auch widespread chaos here that we prolly gonna miss the uga/bama game. :lol

Glad to hear you're all safe, but that sucks for your brother.

Hopefully the truck is totaled (I'm sure it is) and he can go get him a brand new one.

And yeah, the downed fence was probably a given as the same thing happened to me a couple months back.

Crossing fingers that you guys get power back in time for the game as that stuff goes a long way to making you feel better when these things happen.

How about you?

I know you're over in GA as well.
I'm good. Luckily no damage to my property.

But we're without power and internet probably for the next week. So the family and I decided to grab a hotel in Columbia, SC for a few days.

Getting out of town gave us the opportunity to stock up on some essentials without having to battle the craziness that's currently going on in Augusta.

The good thing is that you and the family are safe.

And yeah, that pre-storm and post-storm shopping is a pain in the ass so it's good that you were able to find your way around that.

South Carolina is nice too. Eat you some good food and enjoy the scenery for a few days then go home when things are better.

Wins all around.

When I get home I'll still have to deal with about 4 or 5 days without power. I just hope my cell service starts working again. We don't even have consistent cell service in our area.

If AT&T gets their towers fixed we can at least stream stuff on our phones to keep ourselves entertained and informed. Yesterday was like being thrust back into the 1800s. We didn't know WTH was going on because we had no means of getting updates.

So just in case we still don't have reliable cell service at the house, we used the hotel wi-fi to download a bunch of shows/movies on Netflix and such to watch later on in the week.
