People complained in the 1970s that the media conglomerate was too liberal. It was never truly not partisan.
You know what I mean. They maybe have privately been liberal but they didn't openly display it like they do now. The media of the 70s wouldn't have buried the fact that Russiagate was bogus, or the Hunter Laptop story, because they actually believed in journalism, not being activists.

And the Republicans used to be pro-big business, had strong conservative beliefs and the "American values" you described.

The ones in charge right now are leaning to the edge of Fascism in order to regain the control they lost when the Obama era began.
:lol "Fascism"

Give me any actual examples of this. This current regime is the one collaborating with big business (Tech, Pharma) to achieve their common goals.

Here is the thing that Beck left out.

The practice of American political corruption did not begin with the Clintons.

It was there in nearly every modern Presidential Administration across to the long generations of Congressional dirt.

It is not an (R) or a (D) thing. If you believe that it is, you are really trying too hard to ignore the facts.

Conflating this with any other time in our history is disingenuous. Tell me, what part is Beck wrong about? And then tell me something remotely comparable from 30 years ago.

It is not disingenuous in the least.

This is Beck trying to sound like he is some sort of historical authority. The government being corrupt is not a recent trend.

As for the last part, you might be right since 30 years ago, nobody gave as much of a hard fuck. But goddammit he is mad as hell and isn’t gonna take it anymore. Peter Finch did it better.

You didn't answer the question. What's he wrong about?

You can point to tipping points, though.

It's mostly the following names

FDR
LBJ
Nixon
Clinton
Obama

Like, Eisenhower was clean. Reagan was (mostly) clean. George W. was buffoonish but he wasn't corrupt.
