Andrew Klavan is such a great explainer of conservative beliefs and thoughts.
I listened to him try and answer a question about cancel culture. His point seemed fair and logical. He compared the times we live in to years past and future generations. His point was that people who lived 150 years ago lived under different law and progress happens at it's own pace if you don't force it. He said the statues will continue to fall at the hands of cancel culture, just like in 50 years there will be no more Nancy Pelosi BLVD when abortion is a distant memory like slavery is.
The line that really resonated was something like, "Ancient Egypt had everything they needed to make a lightbulb, but they didn't. Does that make them stupid? No. It just means humans learn as they go.".
That's deep.
