In all seriousness, I was genuinely asking. I certainly hadn’t seen anything about it.

I watched what I thought was a really good speech by Trump at the Manufactures Association or something. He mentioned raising taxes on the wealthy and giving massive relief to the middle class. Sounds like pretty much like what democrats have been saying for a long time. I'd think that would be celebrated. Too bad that the message is drowned out due to him being a giant doucher.

He addressed Puerto Rico some as well. He basically said that the place was a dump for a long time and now they can't help themselves. He mentioned asking what they can do to contribute to their rebuilding and provide management. Being distantly involved with a little mission work I can tell you how dead on this question. Anyhoo, We have sent in 10,000 government workers and the world is shipping in thousands of truck drivers and technicians to take over the jobs of those who are at home taking care of their families. I do agree that Puerto Rico needs a ton of aid, which they will get but what they really need help with is how to build their own infrastructure with the help of aid. That will go much further for their future stabilization than just throwing money at the problem. The old teach a man to fish thing applies here.

Put two and two together and the resulting policy/political action is the less people alive there are to teach fishing, the quicker and cheaper it is.

Especially for a people that have no say whatsoever on re-election.
