Weird there's so little outrage over Trump's plan to accept a $400 million jet to use for Air Force One from a foreign country. THEN the Trump Presidential Library will retain control so Trump can continue to use it after he is no longer in office.

This is the first I've heard anything about it. Sorry about denying you your outrage.

Jet is supposedly a gift to the Defense Dept, but conveniently, it will be transferred to the Trump Presidential Library after he is out of office so he can still use it.

Can you imagine the fucking heads exploding if Obama had accepted something like this from a country that supports Hamas?

I mean it sounds like one government giving another government a gift. I have no idea what authority a President has to keep a government airplane after their term is done. That's where I'm a bit confused on this whole outrage.

Horrible analogy.

First of all, Congress approved the acceptance of the Statue of Liberty.

Second, it didn't go into U.S. Grant's (who signed to authorize the acceptance on his final day in office) back yard after he left office.

Let's not forget... the cost to tear that plane down to parade rest in order to ensure it will meet security standards, put it back together and properly outfit it will probably cost more than a brand new Air Force One. The next two Boeing builds of AF1 are set to deliver in two years anyway.

I still think it's funny that the Dems, who hate Israel and love them some Hamas, are outraged that a pro-Hamas country is giving us a jet. So they're worried what, that Trump will turn towards Hamas? Makes no sense, but that's TDS for you.

Also, would you be any happier with this if Congress did approve it? No way. You'd just claim they were all Trump cultists, intimidated by him, etc.
