Keep tolerating empirical presidencies by accepting violations to the Constitution. Just be sure to remain silent when the Democrats do something evil, because you can’t agree with raping it for your convenience but complain when someone rapes it for theirs.

That’s bootlicking.

Sure thing.

We all know that at some point, the Democrats will have control again, and God help us when they force their shit stain policies on us again; even worse when the President violates the Constitution (again).
They've already done that, though. Let's not act like Trump will be what forced their hand.

And we should be speaking out against it regardless of who does it. That’s my point. I point it out and speak out against it from both sides. People around here? Not so much. Instead, you justify stupid and unlawful behavior with “well, the Democrats do it!!!!1one!!!!”. It doesn’t matter which side does it. It’s unconstitutional.

Every time you see the word bootlicking, take a shot.

PARTY TIME!!

Bonus shot for any form of the “orange man” being used.
What terrifies me more than this is who the Democrats are going to prop up for the next election cycle. If it’s Gavin Newsom, expect me to overuse “Hairgel Hitler” when I address that filthy piece of shit.

And that will be equally retarded.

Sure, I agree that Gavin Newsom is awful as a political leader. But Hitler? Not even fucking close to being in the same universe. So yeah… retarded.

And it was wrong. Jesus Christ, your collective blind complacency and willingness to allow “leaders” to rape the Constitution as long as it suits your narrative makes me want to puke.

I'm going to suggest you don't know the first fucking thing about me so fucking back the fuck off with your fucking judgment. Go fuck yourself.

You said that people here would be criticizing Biden and Obama IF they did the same thing Trump is doing. I pointed out THAT THEY DID.

And you come back that "they were wrong"?

How about YOU were wrong.

Your whole premise is that we're blind Trump followers that only like his policies because it was him, and would criticize those same policies from anyone else, and now you are moving the goalposts and claiming we'll follow anything our leaders want to shove down our throats.

I think you already know that's clearly not true.

Trump is invoking an act of Congress from 1962 as his authority to make these orders. Obama and Biden both invoked an act of Congress from 1974.

These are not unilateral and unprecedented executive authoritarian acts, these are moves enabled by acts of Congress that have been on the books for literally decades.

Lash out all you want but these are acts of Congress not acts of dictators. Enjoy your puking and try not to get it on yourself too much.

And back the fuck off with your assumptions about me. You don't fucking know the first thing about me.

I love this notion that Trump is "violating the Constitution" because purely partisan lower court judges, invariably nominated by Democrats, say so.

It just rolls off the tongue well. “Nuisance” and “Newscum” are popular as well.

No, it’s because the Constitution specifically states that Congress is the only branch of Government with the power to levy taxes.

@Genghis Khan, I think you should take a moment to read The Trade Expansion Act rather than just stating that Trump did something. Read it. Trump’s use of it is incredibly broad. Suggesting that any imports directly threaten national security (which is what it was written for) is hilarious.

This bullshit has absolutely nothing to do with national security.

Doubtful. The United States Congress has delegated authority to the President of the United States to negotiate trade agreements (and tariffs) for a very long time. This is how the vast majority (if not all) of the tariffs are set in the United States. And who's going to sue Trump? A foreign country? They don't have standing. Congress? It's controlled by the GOP.

I mean in all fairness you just told me that VATs is a tax and therefore not a tariff. But our Tariff's you define as taxes...

The Act is based on recommendations from the US Secretary of Commerce, and only if there is a threat to national security. It’s not a unilateral authority.

They’re implemented differently. Both are a form of a tax, but they’re not the same.

I mean ultimately they have the same impact. You slap a 20% VAT on a good and call it a tax. You slap a 20% Tariff on a good and it's really a tax. Europe just justifies their's by calling it something else. And so I agree with you that they are all just a form of taxes used to make domestic products more attractive than foreign products.

But most people don't understand that income taxes actually are harmful to the productivity of an economy, so politicians will play their silly games, use different words and manipulate people how they see fit. And actually I agree that the President shouldn't have the power to unilaterally change taxes. But god damn congress is so frustrating. The way it's divided and the way politicians act, it's impossible to get anything done. Which is why other countries are able to take advantage of us.

I'm frustrated by the whole system frankly.

I hate all taxes, and I don’t feel that any of them are good for society. I’m even more against any single individual levying them unilaterally. I don’t give a shit what the rationale is. It’s evil.

Well then let's call a spade a spade, you think all politicians are evil. No reason to single out one politician.

With all the Hitlers we have in American politics, why isn’t the congestion on the freeways going down any?

They’re awful at exterminating people.
